Srinagar: Strongly condemning the brutal blast at Imambargah Khadijat-ul-Kubra in Tarlai, Islamabad (Pakistan), Jammu and Kashmir Grand Mufti, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam, has termed the attack a “cowardly and inhuman act against innocent worshippers.” In an exclusive interview, the Grand Mufti said that targeting a place of worship during prayers reflects the worst form of extremism and brutality. He expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives and injuries sustained by worshippers, stating that such acts have no place in Islam or any civilized society. Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam emphasized that Islam stands for peace, compassion, and protection of human life, and those who commit such crimes are enemies of humanity and faith alike. He urged the international community and human rights organizations to take serious note of the continued attacks on religious minorities and ensure accountability of the perpetrators. The Grand Mufti also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and conveyed solidarity with the affected families, calling for unity against terrorism and sectarian violence.
