Don’t Panic, LPG and Petrol Stocks Available in Abundance: Administration Appeals Calm Srinagar, Amid rumors of a possible shortage of LPG and petrol due to the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict, thousands of residents were seen standing in long queues outside gas agencies across Srinagar on Thursday. At several distribution centers, including in different localities of the city, women, elderly citizens, and youth gathered in large numbers to refill their LPG cylinders, fearing a possible shortage if the war continues. Local residents expressed concern and said that uncertainty over the international situation has created panic among the public. Many people rushed to gas agencies to secure additional cylinders. However, gas agency owners and officials clarified that there is no shortage of LPG in Kashmir. One agency owner said that sufficient stock is available and regular supplies are reaching the Valley. “We have adequate stock and there is no need for panic buying. We appeal to people to remain calm and take cylinders as per their normal requirement,” the owner said. The Kashmir administration has also reassured the public that LPG and petrol stocks are available in abundance, urging people not to believe rumors or create unnecessary rush at fuel stations and gas agencies. Authorities appealed to residents to maintain calm and cooperate with distribution agencies to ensure smooth supply for everyone.
