During the course of his duty, two individuals riding on a two-wheeler (scooty), including the rider and the pillion rider, used abusive language against him without any provocation. When SI Suraj Pal Singh objected to their abusive behavior, the individuals became aggressive. They, along with some other unidentified persons present at the spot and assaulted him. Subsequently, the Police Control Room (PCR) was informed by a public person, and a PCR unit arrived at the SOC. In the meantime, other traffic staff also reached at the SOC. The two individuals Namely (1) Akbar Hussain S/o Mohd. Shamsher, age 30-35 yrs & (2) Salman S/o Ali Ser, age 30-35 yrs, who assaulted SI Suraj Pal Singh, were apprehended, while others managed to escape from SOC. A Medico-Legal Case (MLC) was conducted for the injured officer. Local police have initiated necessary legal action and are investigating the matter further. FIR No. 417/25 dated 25.09.2025 u/s 221/132/121(1)/3(5) BNS (186/353/332/34 IPC) PS Timarpur Brief Facts of PCR call about assault on Sub- Inspector, Traffic Police. Sir, It is submitted that today a PCR call at 3.48 PM vide DD No.66A PS-Timar Pur, Delhi was received. In this call, it has been informed that " traffic police ko bheed mar rahi hai jiski bike No.DL8SCZ-3924 hai. After receiving this information, SHO and IO/ASI Dinkar reached at place of incident where was a gathering of public and SI Suraj Pal and other traffic staff was also present. They produced two persons namely Salman S/o Mohd. Ali R/o KH No.140/12, Gali No.28, Sant Nagar, Burari, Delhi age 30 and Akbar Hussain S/o Mohd. Shamsher R/o C-73,Gali No.6, Chandu Nagar, Tukmeerpur, Bhajan Pura.,Delhi 26 years and SI Suraj Pal no. 414/T Timarpur Circle stated that he was deployed for VIP route arrangement duty at GT Karnal Road, near Wazirabad Bad Fly over in the side coming from Burari, Delhi. Two boys came on a scooty . SI signalled them to stop. Instead of stopping, they abused him and ran way towards Signature Bridge. SI chased them and succeeded in stopping them. As he stopped them. they started shouting over him. Several passerbies stopped there. Above two mentioned persons along with 2 other person started pushing SI Suraj Pal. Even they attacked him. In between, boys who were on scooty ran away. Traffic staff also produced video recording in which Salman pushed SI several times and also attacked his face by fist. There are several two wheelers visible in video recording. SI Suraj sustained injuries on face and body . In this whole incident, one lady has also been found involved. Other persons are being traced. SI Suraj Pal has been sent for medical examination. A case under the section of BNS for hindrance in official duty, causing hurt /injuries to government servant and other relevant sections are made out. Legal action is being taken. Arrested persons: 1. Salman S/o Md Ali R/o Kharsa no. 140/12 Gali no. 28 Sant Nagar Burari Age 30 year. (wearing black cap). 2. Akbar Hussain S/o Md. Shamsher R/o C73 Gali no. 6 Chandu Nagar Tukmeerpur Delhi age 26 year (not seen in footage). 3. Md. Afsar S/o Md. Hafiz R/o 112, GTB Nagar Kingsway camp Delhi and Gali no. 3 Wazirabad Sangam Vihar Age 20 year. He is egg seller on rehri at Sangam Vihar. ( wearing black T shirt round) 4. Imran S/o Ikramuddin r/o CN20 Gali no. 3 Sangam Vihar Wazirabad Delhi age 20 year. He works on restaurant ( wearing blue shirt). A muslim lady in black clothes is yet to be arrested. Regards
