Spl Exclusive Ground Zero Story;Security forces resumed Operation in Keshwan forests of JK's Kishtwar, SFs Airdropped, 2nd Gunfight in 3 Days  Helicopters, Drones Deployed in Operation Keshwan  Slug-2209ZS_KTR_ENCOUNTER_R By Raja Rehber Jamal  Location-Kishtwar  VO:Security forces on Monday resumed a massive Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the dense forests of Keshwan in Kishtwar district, a day after an encounter broke out with hiding terrorists in Keshwan near the Doda–Kishtwar border.   This is the second encounter in Chenab Valley within three days. The first clash began on Friday in Seoj Dhar, bordering Doda’s Bhaderwah and Udhampur’s Basantgarh, while the latest erupted on Sunday in Keshwan. The encounter took place after a team of security forces started searches in Keshwan forests upon learning that 2-3 terrorists were hiding there, sources said.     Army, Police, SOG and other security agencies have launched this well coordinated joint 'Operation Keshwan' in the area to eliminate hiding terrorists.    According to the Army, the firefight started on Sunday afternoon when alert troops of the White Knight Corps established contact with terrorists during an intelligence-based operation. "Fire was exchanged with terrorists. The operation Keshwan is in progress," the Army said in a statement on X.   Sources suggest that 2–3 terrorists, believed to be from Jaish-e-Mohammad, are trapped in the area. Special Forces have been airdropped, with additional reinforcements rushed in. Drones and helicopters have also been deployed for aerial surveillance.   So far, no casualties have been reported in the ongoing gunfight. Officials said the swift action of the Army averted a possible major terror strike in the region.    It may be recalled that on November 10 last year, a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar, of the Army’s Special Forces was killed and three soldiers injured, two critically, in a fierce gun battle with terrorists in the same Keshwan forests of Kishtwar.
