People’s Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti appealed to the government to ensure that people from Jammu and Kashmir — including students and workers living in different parts of the country — are not harassed in the aftermath of the incident. She said she is hopeful that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will take up the matter with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Home Minister to ensure the safety and dignity of every Kashmiri living outside the region.
