A Pathway to Dairy Safety Entrepreneurship" was inaugurated at Hatbura, Ganderbal to promote skill development and entrepreneurship in the dairy sector. The event was organized by Division of Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology, Faculty of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, SKUAST-K. The programme was attended by the scientists from the Division of VPHE( Dr.Akram Hussain Dr. Mudasir All, Dr.Najimaana, Dr. Shabu, Dr lyman, Veterinarians, Para Veterinarians from Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir, Livestock attendants, Progressive farmers besides Post graduate students. Dr. Najimaana Wani, Assistant professor and the Training coordinator, gave a brief about the various entrepreurship opportunities to unemployed and underemployed youth in dairy sector. The programme focused on imparting hands-on training in milk quality testing, adulteration detection, laboratory practices, and regulatory standards, with the objective of enabling participants to establish milk testing laboratories as sustainable MSME ventures. Experts from dairy science and food safety disciplines guided participants through various technical sessions. The initiative aims to strengthen dairy safety, quality assurance, and self-employment opportunities, particularly for aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals associated with the dairy value chain.
