Sub-District Hospital Tangmarg Building Partly Damaged Due to Water Leakage, Poses Threat to Patients The building of Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tangmarg has suffered severe damage on its backside due to continuous water leakage, raising serious concerns for the safety of patients and staff. According to locals, the entire rear portion of the hospital structure has developed cracks and a shabby look, with bathroom outlets failing and causing open leakages. The situation has led to foul smells in the area, posing both a health and safety hazard. While the front side of the hospital is reportedly decorated and renovated every year, residents allege that the major damaged portion on the backside has been ignored. “Lakhs of rupees are spent annually on the facelift of the front side, but the actual problem remains unattended,” the locals said. They further warned that the deteriorating condition of the building could turn into a major threat at any time if timely action is not taken. The residents of Tangmarg have appealed to the Lieutenant Governor’s administration to take immediate cognizance of the issue and initiate proper repairs to ensure the safety of patients and visitors.
