Ganderbal: Muslims across Ganderbal observed the 27th night of Ramadan with great religious fervour, widely believed to be in search of Shab-e-Qadr (the Night of Power). The main congregation was held at Jamia Masjid Qamaria in Reshipora, Saloora, where a large number of devotees gathered for night-long prayers. Religious scholar Molana Sheikh Noor-ul-Hassan Hafeezi addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of Shab-e-Qadr, urging people to devote themselves to prayers and seek forgiveness and blessings. During the night, he also recited the kalam of late Sufi Abdul Rahman, former Imam and Khateeb of Jamia Masjid Qamaria, and remembered his contributions to society. Meanwhile, special prayers and religious gatherings were held in mosques across the district. Devotees spent the entire night in worship, reciting the Holy Quran and offering supplications, seeking mercy and spiritual rewards.
