Anchor— Another spell of snowfall in Bhaderwah and its adjoining areas has brought cheer to locals as well as tourists, transforming the picturesque region into a winter wonderland. However, residents have urged the administration to ensure the early opening of link roads leading to major tourist destinations of Bhaderwah, including Padri Pass, Khanni Top, Guldanda and Jai Valley, to facilitate tourism and ease local movement. According to locals, the fresh spell of snowfall, which began yesterday, has resulted in over two feet of fresh snow in the higher reaches of Bhaderwah, while the town area received around five inches of snowfall. Residents said that the good snowfall this year is expected to benefit agriculture, horticulture, and the tourism sector in a significant way, raising hopes of improved livelihoods and increased tourist footfall in the coming months.
