In a major action against Pakistan-based terror operatives, the State Investigation Agency of Jammu and Kashmir Police has attached the ancestral property of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Zahid Hussain in Doda district following a court order. The move comes as part of the ongoing crackdown to dismantle the terror ecosystem operating from across the border. Jammu and Kashmir Police’s State Investigation Agency on Wednesday evening attached the ancestral land of Pakistan-based Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Zahid Hussain in Mangota village of Doda district. Officials said the land was identified, physically verified, inspected and formally attached following due orders of a competent court. "Ancestral land measuring 1.16 kanal of Hizbul terrorist Zahid Hussain in Mangota village was identified, physically verified, inspected and formally attached," they added. The action marks another step in the sustained efforts of security agencies to break the financial and logistical backbone of terrorism in the region. Zahid Hussain, who has been operating from Pakistan, is accused of radicalising and recruiting several youths from Jammu and Kashmir, using various social media platforms to motivate them as over-ground workers of the Hizbul network. A spokesperson of the SIA said the investigations leading to the attachment of Hussain’s property pertain to a case involving terrorists from Jammu and Kashmir operating from across the border. The agency asserts that such measures will continue until every link of the terror support system is dismantled.
