The Economic Survey presented today reflects India’s steady reform journey under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri narendramodi ji, showing strength and stability even in a challenging global environment. With real GDP growth estimated at 7.4% for FY 2025–26, India remains the fastest-growing major economy for the fourth consecutive year. The Survey highlights strong economic fundamentals, growing innovation, and major infrastructure development, while reaffirming the Government’s focus on farmers, MSMEs, youth employment, and social welfare. It also underlines the Government’s commitment to fiscal discipline, with the 4.4% fiscal deficit target on track and three sovereign rating upgrades reflecting global confidence in India’s economic direction and its resolve to build a Viksit Bharat.
