Bomb threat email alerts Temple City Tirupati... Tirupati: Terrorist bomb threat alerts in Tirupati. Police have gone on high alert in the wake of the threats. Bomb Disposal (BD) teams carried out inspections in several locations. The police initiated checks after receiving two suspicious emails. The threat mails claimed that ISI and former LTTE militants, operating from Tiruvallur in Tamil Nadu, had conspired together. The emails warned of explosions using RDX at four locations in Tirupati. Checks were carried out at Tirupati RTC Bus Stand, Srinivasam, Vishnu Nivasam, Kapila Theertham temple, and Govindaraja Swamy temple areas. BD teams and sniffer dogs also inspected the Judges’ residential complex and court premises. Ahead of CM Chandrababu’s visit to Tirupati on the 6th of this month, checks were conducted at the Agricultural College helipad. BD teams also searched the Padmavathi Ammavaru Temple at Tiruchanur, Tirumala, and the Srikalahasti temple.
