J&K Handicrafts and Handloom Department organized a grand exhibition near the Riverfront in Srinagar, showcasing the region’s rich artistic heritage. Different artisans set up their stalls displaying exquisite works such as papier-mâché items, Kashmiri shawls, wooden khatamband craft, traditional charkhas, earthen pottery, and other cultural and traditional art forms. Artisans expressed their satisfaction and said such exhibitions help their art and products reach every corner of the world. They urged the government to continue organizing similar events in the future to promote Kashmiri art and craftsmanship. Tourists visiting the exhibition showed great interest in purchasing handmade Kashmiri products, appreciating the skill and creativity of local artisans. Meanwhile, the Commissioner Secretary of Handloom and Handicrafts highlighted the significance of organizing such exhibitions, emphasizing that they play a crucial role in preserving and promoting the centuries-old artistic legacy of Jammu and Kashmir. On this occasion, Kashmiri singers enthralled the audience with soulful songs accompanied by traditional Kashmiri musical instruments, adding a cultural touch to the exhibition.
