Continuing its special drive against Illegal Mining and transportation of minerals, Ganderbal Police has seized 09 Vehicles involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minor minerals from different areas falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ganderbal, Police Station Gund and Police post Shadipora. The vehicles were found transporting minerals without valid permission and were subsequently seized on the spot by concerned police teams in coordination with the Geology and Mining Department. Illegal extraction of minerals not only causes loss to the public exchequer but also leads to severe environmental degradation. Ganderbal Police has reiterated its firm resolve to take strict action against those involved in such unlawful activities. The general public is once again advised to refrain from indulging in illegal mining and transportation of minerals. Strict legal action shall be taken against the violators.
