In a sustained drive against the menace of drugs, *Ganderbal Police* achieved a major success by apprehending a notorious *Drug Peddler* and recovered a significant quantity of *Contraband Substance* from his possession. A police party of Police Station Ganderbal, while conducting naka checking near *Wayil Bridge,* intercepted one individual who was later identified as; *Gulzar Ashraf Khan, son of Mohammad Ashraf Khan, resident of Buderkund Ganderbal.* During his personal search, the police recovered a substantial quantity of Contraband Substance, *Bhung Patri (Cannabis derivative)* from his possession. The contraband Substance was seized on the spot as per legal formalities and the accused was arrested. Accordingly, Case *FIR No.196/2025,* under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at *Police Station Ganderbal,* and further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the contraband and identify other individuals involved in the supply chain. *Ganderbal Police* reiterates its commitment to eradicating drug peddling from the district and urges the public to cooperate and share information related to drug abuse or trafficking in their areas.
