SAD ने ECI Observer के समक्ष Punjab में नियुक्तियों पर निष्पक्ष चुनाव की मांग

The Shiromani Akali Dal leaders Dr Daljit Singh Cheema & S Nashattar Singh met the Observer (General) of ECI for Tarn Tarn assembly constituency Madam Pushpa Satyani IAS today and brought to her notice that under pressure from AAP Government of Punjab due process has not been followed while appointing senior officials of police on important positions within the constituency. The SAD leaders brought to her notice that DSPs who have served in the constituency for more then 8-9 years are still on important positions and are working overtime to help the ruling party candidate S Harmeet Singh Sandhu. A copy of the written complaint filed earlier in this regard was also handed over to her. In addition, the SAD leaders informed her that the police officers who are retiring in April, 2026 have been appointed SHOs against the norms of election commission. In addition the SAD also objected to the appointment of election related officials within their home districts. The SAD leaders urged the Observer (General) to hold an inquiry into all such violations by the administration and to take action as per the established law to ensure free & fare elections. Dr Cheema also brought this matter to the notice of Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab Mr C Cibin on phone and urged him to take immediate steps to ensure free & fare elections.
