ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਦੀ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਕਲੌਨੀ 'ਚ ਇੱਕ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਵਾਪਰੀ। ਚੋਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਘਰ 'ਚ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਚੋਰੀ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਰੌਲਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਗਲਾ ਘੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੌਕੇ 'ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ 'ਚ ਵਧ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਚੋਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਲਸਿਲੇ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੈ।

युद्ध नशों विरुद्ध: पंजाब पुलिस ने 56 तस्कर 2 किलो हेरोइन के साथ गिरफ्तार

Noida, Uttar Pradesh:सूचना एवं लोक संपर्क विभाग, पंजाब ‘युद्ध नशों विरुद्ध’: 240वें दिन पंजाब पुलिस ने 2 किलो हेरोइन सहित 56 नशा तस्कर किए गिरफ्तार — ‘डी-एडिक्शन’ अभियान के तहत पंजाब पुलिस ने 13 व्यक्तियों को नशा छुड़ाने के इलाज के लिए किया तैयार चंडीगढ़, 27 अक्टूबर: मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत सिंह मान के नेतृत्व में प्रदेश से नशे के उन्मूलन हेतु चलाए जा रहे व्यापक मुहिम "युद्ध नशों विरुद्ध" को लगातार 240वें दिन भी जारी रखते हुए, पंजाब पुलिस ने आज राज्यभर में 280 स्थानों पर छापेमारी की। इस दौरान 51 एफआईआर दर्ज कर 56 नशा तस्करों को गिरफ्तार किया गया। इस प्रकार, पिछले 240 दिनों में गिरफ्तार किए गए कुल नशा तस्करों की संख्या बढक़र 34,275 हो गई है। इन छापों के दौरान गिरफ्तार आरोपियों के कब्जे से 2 किलो हेरोइन, 14 किलो भुक्की, 231 नशीली गोलियां/कैप्शन और 7,800 रुपए की ड्रग मनी बरामद की गई। उल्लेखनीय है कि मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत सिंह मान ने पुलिस कमिश्नरों, डिप्टी कमिश्नरों और वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षकों को पंजाब को नशा मुक्त राज्य बनाने के निर्देश दिए हैं। इसके साथ ही, राज्य सरकार ने नशों के खिलाफ चल रही इस जंग की निगरानी हेतु वित्त मंत्री हरपाल सिंह चीमा की अध्यक्षता में 5 सदस्यीय कैबिनेट सब-कमेटी का गठन किया है। इस ऑपरेशन के दौरान 51 ग़ज़टेड अधिकारियों की निगरानी में 800 से अधिक पुलिस कर्मियों की 100 से अधिक टीमें राज्यभर में 280 छापेमार कार्रवाइयों में शामिल रहीं। दिनभर चले इस अभियान के दौरान पुलिस टीमों ने 289 संदिग्ध व्यक्तियों की भी जांच की। राज्य सरकार ने नशा उन्मूलन के लिए तीन-स्तरीय रणनीति — प्रवर्तन (इन्फोर्समेंट), नशा मुक्ति (डी-एडिक्शन) और रोकथाम (प्रिवेंशन) — लागू की हुई है। इसी के अंतर्गत, पंजाब पुलिस ने आज ‘डी-एडिक्शन’ हिस्से के रूप में 13 व्यक्तियों को नशा छुड़ाने एवं पुनर्वास उपचार के लिए राज़ी किया है।

Noida, Uttar Pradesh:Chandigarh 27th October 2025: Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora today held a comprehensive meeting with Shri. Santosh Kumar Yadav, Chairman of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), accompanied by the DGM (Technical) and other officials from NHAI, to review progress and resolve pending infrastructure issues across Punjab. Minister Arora began by underlining the urgent need to develop the approximately three-kilometre approach area near Adampur Airport, pointing out that this stretch falls under the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) jurisdiction and it must be taken up by NHAI immediately to ensure safe and efficient airport connectivity. The Ludhiana–Ropar highway project was also a major focus of discussion; the Minister noted significant delays in execution and stressed that the project be re-tendered and fast-tracked so that long-pending works can be completed without further slippage. Arora promised to help in getting soil filling for projects as per Punjab Govt Mining Policy. On the NHLML parking project, Minister Arora highlighted bureaucratic delays that have held up the tender and construction; the NHAI Chairman responded by immediately directing concerned officials of NHLML to grant the necessary approvals so work can commence at the earliest. Expressing concern over the slow progress of the Ludhiana cycle track, the Minister urged stronger supervision and direct intervention by the Regional Office (RO) Punjab to ensure NHAI’s pilot project is completed on schedule for the benefit of commuters and cyclists. The meeting also addressed recurring fund-release and portal issues affecting the Delhi–Katra highway, with Minister Arora emphasizing that technical problems on the central funds portal are stalling work and causing financial uncertainties; the Chairman instructed the RO Punjab to resolve all portal-related issues promptly and ensure uninterrupted fund flows. A detailed review was held on the Jalandhar–Amritsar highway, where both officials discussed outstanding works regarding repairs and agreed on accelerated action plans to clear pending items and improve traffic flow and safety. With commercial operations set to commence at Halwara Airport shortly, Minister Arora stressed the importance of robust road connectivity to the airport to serve the transportation needs of the entire Malwa region; NHAI assured coordinated planning to prioritize approaches and access roads. The Minister drew attention to chronic congestion around SPS Hospital and Sherpur, noting that incomplete works are causing daily traffic snarls and inconvenience to residents; the NHAI Chairman committed to expediting the remaining work to relieve congestion and restore normal traffic movement. Sidhwan bridges were discussed in detail, with both sides urging immediate completion of residual works to ensure structural safety and uninterrupted connectivity for local communities of Ludhiana. Minister Arora also pressed for improved routine maintenance of NHAI highways across Punjab, including timely repair of surfaces and prompt restoration and upkeep of street lighting to enhance road safety during night hours. The NHAI Chairman gave categorical assurances that all issues raised by Minister Arora will be addressed on a priority basis, directed concerned regional officials to act without delay, and appreciated the Minister’s proactive engagement and commitment to the development and connectivity of Punjab. The meeting concluded with an agreement for regular follow-ups and monitoring to ensure timely implementation of decisions and swift resolution of technical, administrative and funding bottlenecks.

NSW Venues says Kirpans are not permitted inside its spaces. A Sikh advocacy group says the dagger is an article of faith, not a weapon. Concertgoers who had tickets to see an Indian music superstar have been offered a refund after refusing to leave their Sikh dagger at the gate. On Sunday night, 25,000 people saw megastar Diljit Dosanjh's first stadium show in Australia in Western Sydney's Parramatta. Many in the crowd were from Dosanjh's Punjabi and Sikh community, some of whom wear the religious symbol in the shape of a small dagger known as a Kirpan. Director of the NSW branch of advocacy group United Sikhs Australia Randeep Singh Grewal said the Kirpan had deep religious significance and Sikhs were not allowed to remove it under any circumstance. Paramvir Singh Bimwal and his wife Sona paid $200 each for their tickets to attend Dosanjh's concert. The 50-year-old with a spinal injury said he fought through the pain to attend, but when security used a wand metal detector on him at the stadium's entrance, he was asked to step aside. "It's really disappointing to be here, and we were told right at the entrance to move aside," he said Mr Bimwal's Kirpan had triggered the device, and he was asked to remove it, place it in a box and was promised it would be given back to him after the show. He said it felt "very disrespectful and hurtful". "This is not a knife that I've picked up from my kitchen, and I've decided to break the law. It's an article of faith." Kirpans not allowed in NSW venues NSW Police said venue security asked officers to speak to a concertgoer who "refused to cloak a Kirpan". The police statement said "no offences were identified". "Officers spoke with the male patron who declined to cloak the Kirpan. He was then directed from the stadium and left without incident," it read. A spokesperson for Venues NSW, which owns and operates Parramatta Stadium says Kirpans are not permitted inside its venues. "We offer a secure, respectful and free cloaking service. This has been standard practice across the Venues NSW network for the past decade."

The man's identity has not been disclosed and the investigation remains open. Abbotsford, B.C., police are on the scene of a shooting that took place on Monday morning Police said the shooting happened on the street in the 31300 block of Ridgeview Drive. A 68-year-old man was shot inside his vehicle, which was parked on the street, police said. Despite life-saving medical efforts by first responders, the man died at the scene. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has now been deployed to the scene and say the shooting appears to be targeted. No one has been arrested.This is an active investigation and police said officers will be at the scene throughout the day. Rupnagar, Punjab:Ropar Special Coverage and 121 with victims ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਬੇਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਦੀ ਮਾਰ ਚੱਲ ਰੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਰੋਪੜ ਜਿਲੇ ਦੇ ਸੱਤ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਲਗਭਗ ਦੋ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਠਗ ਇਜਿੰਟਾ ਦੇ ਝਾਂਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਤਾਜਾਕੇਸਥਾਨ ਗਏ ਸੀ ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਉੱਥੇ ਲਗਭਗ 40 ਦਿਨ ਦਾ ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦ ਸਹਿਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅੱਜ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੋਟੇ ਹਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਫਾਇਦਾ ਉਠਾ ਕੇ ਠੱਗ ਅਤੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਏਜੰਟ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਝੂਠੇ ਦਿਲਾਸੇ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਬਜਬਾਗ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮੋਟੀਆਂ ਰਕਮਾਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਭੇਜਦੇ ਹਨ ਲਗਭਗ 40 ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਿਲੇ ਰੂਪ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਥੋਂ ਏਜੰਟ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਕਾਇਦਾ ਐਗਰੀਮੈਂਟ ਸਾਈਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਤਜਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਮੁਲਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਟਰੱਕ ਚਲਾਉਣੇ ਹਨ ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਉੱਥੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੰਪਨੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਜਬੂਰਨ ਲੇਬਰ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਵਿਨੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅਣ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦ ਸਹਿਣਾ ਪਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਵਾਇਰਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਰ ਲਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਸਭਾ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਵਿਕਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਰੋਪੜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਅਜੇਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਲਾਲਪੁਰਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜਿਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨਰਕ ਭਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਜ਼ੀ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਵੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੇਕਰ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਮਿਲੇ ਤਾਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਨਰਕ ਭਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਜਿਉਣ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਪਵੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿਉਹ ਠੱਗ ਅਤੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਏਜੰਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਬਣਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਰੂਰ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਾਉਣਗੇ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਕੁਝ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਵੀ ਵੀ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਕੁਝ ਸਮਾਂ ਭਾਵਕ ਵੀ ਬਣ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਸੀ

जालंधर के लम्मा पिंड में टायर गोदाम की भीषण आग; कारण शॉर्ट सर्किट संभव

Noida, Uttar Pradesh:टायरों के गोदाम में लगी भयानक आग - आग लगने से इलाके में मचा हड़कंप, दमकल विभाग ने पहुंच आग पर काबू पाना किया शुरू पंजाब के जालंधर के लम्मा पिंड के पास सैलानी माता मंदिर के पास स्थित टायरों के गोदाम में भयानक आग लग गई। यह घटना करीब 8:15 की ही बताई जा रही है। मौके पर मौजूद लोग कह रहे हैं कि छठ पूजा के अवसर पर चलाए गए पटाखे की चिंगारी के कारण आग लगी है। वही मौके पर मौजूद मार्किट प्रधान सुरिंदर सिंह कैरो ने बताया कि बिजली की हाई टेंशन तारों में शॉर्ट सर्किट होने के कारण आग लगी है।
