Sukhbir Singh Badal BYTE- Flagged off 100 trucks of maize silage for distribution to Gurdaspur and Jalandhar districts to serve as fodder for livestock from the grain market in Chamkaur Sahib. -We had announced plans to send 500 trucks of silage, of which 200 have already been distributed. -Based on reports from our field teams, I announce today that the Shiromani Akali Dal will distribute wheat to 50,000 poor, flood-affected families across the state. -I also appeal to the Punjab government to distribute certified seeds across 2 lakh acres out of the total four lakh flood-affected acres in the state, as the Shiromani Akali Dal and SGPC have taken responsibility for distributing seeds in the remaining 2 lakh acres. -The Punjab government should also provide DAP free of cost to all flood-affected farmers.
