अमृतसर में सास-बहू विवाद ने सिर फोड़े, थाने पहुंचे दोनों परिवार

Amritsar, Punjab:अमृतसर: सास-बहू के बीच मामूली बात पर झगड़ा, दोनों के सिर फूटे अमृतसर के इंदिरा कॉलोनी से पारिवारिक रिश्तों को शर्मसार करने वाला एक झगड़े का मामला सामने आया है, जहां सास और बहू के बीच छोटी सी कहासुनी ने हिंसक रूप ले लिया। बहस के दौरान दोनों के सिर फूट गए और मामला पुलिस तक पहुंच गया। बहु पूजा का बयान जानकारी के अनुसार, बहू पूजा के बेटे करिश ने बताया कि झगड़ा उस समय शुरू हुआ जब स्कूल छोड़ने को लेकर बातचीत हो रही थी। पूजा ने बच्चों को स्कूल से लेट नाह हो जाए इसलिए जल्दी चलने को बोला, इस बीच पापा ने ऊंची आवाज़ में बात करने पर मम्मी को थप्पड़ मार दिया। इसके बाद पूजा थाने जाने की बात करने लगी, तभी सास नीचे आ गईं और बहस तेज हो गई। इसी दौरान, करिश का आरोप है कि उसकी दादी ने पूजा के सिर पर वार कर दिया, जिससे वह घायल हो गईं। करिश ने यह भी बताया कि उसकी दादी अक्सर उसकी मां को घर से निकालने की धमकी देती हैं| बहु का आरोप वहीं पूजा ने कहा कि उसकी शादी को 17 साल हो चुके हैं और उसके तीन बच्चे हैं — एक पहले पति से और दो वर्तमान पति से। पूजा ने आरोप लगाया कि उसे बार-बार सास दुवारा घर से निकालने की धमकी दी जाती है। पुलिस की इस मामले मे जानकारी पुलिस अधिकारी हरजिंदर सिंह के अनुसार, दोनों पक्षों की शिकायत दर्ज कर ली गई है। मेडिकल रिपोर्ट आने के बाद आवश्यक कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी। पुलिस अधिकारी हरजिंदर सिंह का कहना है कि दोनों पक्षों की ओर से शिकायत प्राप्त हुई है। सास और बहू दोनों के सिर फटे हुए हैं। इनकी शिकायत दर्ज कर ली गई है और मेडिकल जांच करवाई जा रही है। जब रिपोर्ट आएगी, तो जो भी कार्रवाई बनती होगी, वह की जाएगी।

कपूरथला SSP पर हाईकोर्ट ने 50 हजार जुर्माना ठोका

Noida, Uttar Pradesh:हाईकोर्ट ने कपूरथला के SSP पर लगाया 50 हजार रुपए जुर्माना धोखाधड़ी का एक आरोपी जिसे छह साल पहले भगोड़ा करार दिया गया था, उसे छह सालों बाद भी गिरफ्तार नहीं किए जाने पर लगाया जुर्माना हाईकोर्ट ने इस मामले में SSP को सेवा में लापरवाही बरतने का दोषी करार दिया है वहीं जिस थाने में यह FIR थी दर्ज, उस थाने के तब से लेकर अब तक जितने भी इस केस के जांच अधिकारी या SHO रहे हैं, उनके खिलाफ तीन महीनों के भीतर विभागीय कारवाई किए जाने के भी दिए हैं आदेश जुर्माने की राशि पंजाब चीफ मिनिस्टर रिलीफ फंड में जमा करवाने के दिए हैं आदेश बता दें कि धोखधड़ी के आरोप में कपूरथला के राजेश महाजन के खिलाफ कपूरथला पुलिस थाने में 31 अगस्त 2017 में FIR दर्ज की गई थी। उसकी अग्रिम जमानत तीन बार खारिज हो चुकी थी। इस मामले में 2019 में कपूरथला की ट्रायल कोर्ट ने आरोपी को भगोड़ा करार दे दिया था। अब जब इस आरोपी ने फिर से हाई कोर्ट से जमानत मांगी तो हाईकोर्ट ने कपूरथला के SSP से जवाब तलब किया कि कैसे एक आरोपी जिसे साल 2019 में भगोड़ा करार दिया था, उसे छह सालों में गिरफ्तार किए जाने की कोशिश तक नहीं की गई। लिहाजा इस केस को 2019 से लेकर अब तक जितने भी जांच अधिकारी रहे हैं, उनकी जानकारी मांगी गई। SSP ने माना कि जांच अधिकारियों गलती रही है। लिहाजा हाईकोर्ट ने अब आरोपी को तो सरेंडर कर जमानत लेने के आदेश दे दिए हैं। लेकिन छह सालों तक कोई भी कारवाई नहीं किए जाने के लिए SSP को सेवा में लापरवाही बरतने का दोषी करार दे 50 हजार रुपए जुर्माना भी लगा दिया है साथ ही 2019 से लेकर अब तक इस केस के जितने भी जांच अधिकारी रहे हैं, उनके खिलाफ विभागीय कार्रवाई किए जाने के आदेश भी दे दिए हैं।

Noida, Uttar Pradesh: The Province, B.C. RCMP and municipal police agencies are launching a specialized task force to strengthen investigations into the extortion threats targeting families and businesses in the South Asian community. “The Province is standing up a new provincial task force that builds on the ongoing work of existing joint forces operations and brings in new partners under a single command structure led by the RCMP,” said Nina Krieger, Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General. “This comprehensive approach will expand cross-jurisdictional reach, supporting co-ordinated investigations to bring criminals threatening and perpetrating violence in our communities to justice.” The extortion task force will consist of 40 members drawn from various policing agencies, including the B.C. RCMP, Abbotsford Police Department, Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit – B.C. (CFSEU-BC), Delta Police Department, Metro Vancouver Transit Police, Surrey Police Service and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). The task force will receive support from the federal RCMP National Co-ordination and Support Team (NCST), which offers co-ordination and information sharing on extortion cases with law-enforcement agencies in affected provinces including B.C., Alberta and Ontario. Led by the B.C. RCMP, the task force will stand apart from existing units due to its diverse membership and provincewide mandate, with its primary focus on co-ordination efforts in targeting organized-crime activity involved in extortion-related threats. “The B.C. RCMP is committed to advancing the investigative efforts taken to date and enhancing the co-ordination and collaboration of the joint forces operation,” said John Brewer, assistant commissioner, B.C. RCMP. “This dedicated and expanded team brings in additional resources, intelligence and tactical skills from multiple law-enforcement agencies, with the common goals of protecting our communities from these extortions, while pursuing and holding those responsible for the violence, intimidation and fear accountable.” The Province is also making $200,000 available through the federal government’s Gun and Gang Violence Action Fund (GGVAF) to help municipal police departments investigate extortion cases. The funding will assist municipal police operations in their community-driven efforts to disrupt and investigate extortion-related matters. These investments are in addition to more than $100 million the Province commits annually to anti-gang enforcement and intelligence programs that target and disrupt organized crime, gang activity, illegal guns and the drug trade. To sustain public-education efforts, the Province has provided an additional $100,000 from the GGVAF to continue the B.C. Crime Stoppers public-awareness campaign encouraging people to report extortion threats to help police identify and stop those responsible. This additional funding will support six more weeks of the campaign, helping individuals, families and business owners stay informed and safe. Quick Facts: The B.C. Crime Stoppers extortion public-awareness campaign was developed in consultation with individuals with a deep knowledge of extortion, experience in policing, and lived experience within the South Asian community. The campaign will be available in English and Punjabi and will feature radio, digital-media and SkyTrain advertisements. From June 25, 2025, until Sept. 5, 2025, the campaign generated more than 4.7 million views, and police have reported an increase in phone calls related to extortion attempts.

Noida, Uttar Pradesh:Trump announces 100 per cent Tariff on imported pharmaceuticals without US-based manufacturing plants Washington, DC [US], September 26 (ANI): United States President Donald Trump on Friday announced that his administration will impose a 100 per cent tariff on branded and patented pharmaceutical products beginning October 1, 2025, unless the manufacturing companies are building production facilities in the United States. In a post on Truth Social, President Trump wrote, "Starting October 1st, 2025, we will be imposing a 100% Tariff on any branded or patented Pharmaceutical Product, unless a Company IS BUILDING their Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant in America. 'IS BUILDING' will be defined as 'breaking ground' and/or 'under construction.'" Clarifying the scope of the measure, Trump added that companies that have already begun construction of plants in the US will be exempt from the new tariff. "There will, therefore, be no Tariff on these Pharmaceutical Products if construction has started. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" the post read. He also announced sweeping tariffs on various household products, including imported kitchen cabinets and certain kinds of furniture - potentially adding even more costs to a category that has surged in price in recent months. Trump also announced heavy truck tariffs and pharmaceutical tariffs, CNN reported. Trump wrote in a Truth Social post, "We will be imposing a 50 per cent Tariff on all Kitchen Cabinets, Bathroom Vanities, and associated products, starting October 1st, 2025. Additionally, we will be charging a 30 per cent Tariff on Upholstered Furniture." Various tariffs that Trump has imposed have already boosted furniture prices considerably over the past year. Overall, furniture last month cost 4.7 per cent more than in August 2024, according to the Bureau of Labour Statistics. Living room and dining room furniture, in particular, has grown more expensive - rising 9.5 per cent over the past 12 months, according to the BLS. Furniture prices have surged as Trump hiked tariffs on China and Vietnam, the top two sources of imported furniture. Both countries exported USD 12 billion worth of furniture and fixtures last year, according to US Commerce Department data. Furniture prices had largely fallen for the past two and a half years prior to Trump's tariffs. But Trump said that foreign manufacturers have oversupplied the US market, and the tariffs were necessary to regain US manufacturing prowess, as per CNN. "The reason for this is the large-scale 'FLOODING' of these products into the United States by other outside Countries," Trump said. "It is a very unfair practice, but we must protect, for National Security and other reasons, our Manufacturing process." Meanwhile, new tariff rates for dozens of countries were introduced in August, after delays to allow for trade talks. They include: 50 per cent tariffs on Indian goods. including a 25 per cent penalty for trade with Russia; 50 per cent tariffs on Brazilian goods. 30 per cent tariffs on South African goods. 20 per cent tariffs on Vietnamese goods. 15 per cent tariffs on Japanese goods. and 15 per cent tariffs on South Korean goods. Gurdaspur, Punjab:ਗੁਰਦਾਸਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਨਸਪ ਖਰੀਦ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਦਫਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਦਸਤਕ ,,,,,ਸੈਲਰ ਮਾਲਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਨਸਪ ਦੇ ਡੀਐਮ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਰੌਲ਼ਾ,,,,,ਸੈਲਰ ਮਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਨਸਪ ਖਰੀਦ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਮਨਾਂ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਰ -- ਅਵਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੁਰਦਾਸਪੁਰ ਗੁਰਦਾਸਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਨਸਪ ਖਰੀਦ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਦਫਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਂਚ ਪੜਤਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿਉਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸੈਲਰ ਮਾਲਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਨਸਪ ਦਫਤਰ ਦੇ ਡੀਐਮ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੰਗ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਰੋਪ ਲਗਾਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਲਰ ਮਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਨਸਪ ਖਰੀਦ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉੱਚ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਫਤਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੇ ਸੈਲਰ ਮਾਲਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਰੂਟੀਨ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੈਲਰ ਮਾਲਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਇਤਰਾਜ਼ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਨ। ਜਿਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਗੁਰਦਾਸਪੁਰ ਪਨਸਪ ਖਰੀਦ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਦਫਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਸੈਲਰ ਮਾਲਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੈਲਰ ਮਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਨਸਪ ਖਰੀਦ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਮਨਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਸ਼ੈਲਰ ਮਾਲਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਠੀਕ ਹੈ ਬਾਈਟ -- ਟੀਮ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ

Noida, Uttar Pradesh: PM Modi to launch Bihar''s Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana today New Delhi, Sep 26 (IANS) Ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana on Friday at 11 a.m. via video conferencing, government officials said. During the programme, the Prime Minister will directly transfer Rs 10,000 each into the bank accounts of 75 lakh women across Bihar, amounting to a total disbursal of Rs 7,500 crore in the first phase. The scheme -- originally announced by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar -- aims to make women ''Aatmanirbhar'' (self-reliant) by promoting self-employment and livelihood opportunities. The scheme is universal in nature, providing financial assistance to one woman per family in the state to start income-generating activities of their choice. Under the scheme, an initial grant of Rs 10,000 will be given to each beneficiary, and after six months an assessment will be conducted, and depending on the progress, beneficiaries may receive additional financial assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh. Community resource persons from self-help groups will train women to develop skills and manage businesses. Gramin haat-bazaars will be upgraded to help beneficiaries market and sell their products. The initiative is being seen as a key move to empower women voters and strengthen rural livelihoods ahead of the high-stakes state polls, where the NDA led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar faces a fierce political contest from the Grand Alliance (INDIA bloc). On August 29, 2025, the Bihar government had approved the launch of this scheme aimed at empowering women through financial assistance and self-employment opportunities. The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at the Chief Minister''s Secretariat, where the proposal was given a green signal. Under the scheme, one woman from each family in Bihar will be eligible to receive an initial financial assistance of Rs 10,000 as the first installment to begin employment of her choice.
