Prime Minister conducted an aerial survey of flood affected areas in Punjab. Thereafter, he had an official review meeting in Gurdaspur with officials and elected representatives. PM Modi reviewed the relief and rehabilitation measures undertaken as well as assessed the damage that has occurred in Punjab. The Prime Minister announced a financial assistance of Rs. 1600 crore for Punjab in addition to the Rs 12,000 crore already in the state’s kitty. There will be advance release of the second instalment of SDRF and PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. The Prime Minister emphasized the need for a multi-dimensional approach to help the entire region and its people recover. This would include measures such as rebuilding homes under the PM Awas Yojana, restoring national highways, reconstructing schools, providing relief through the PMNRF, and distributing mini kits for livestock. Recognizing the critical need to support the agricultural community, additional assistance will be provided specifically targeted at farmers who currently lack power connections. For bores which have been silted over or swept away, support for refurbishing would be extended under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana on project mode, as per specific proposal from the State Government. For bore pumps that are running on diesel, convergence with MNRE for solar panels & support will be facilitated for micro irrigation under Per drop More Crop guidelines. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana - Gramin, financial assistance will be extended under “Special Project’’ submitted by Government of Punjab for reconstruction of houses in rural areas to eligible households whose houses have been damaged due to floods. Government schools damaged in the recent floods in Punjab will be financially supported under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. The State Government is required to provide all requisite supporting information as per guidelines. Construction of recharge structures for water harvesting will be undertaken extensively in Punjab under the Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari program. This will be aimed to repair damaged recharge structures and construct additional water harvesting structures. These efforts will enhance rainwater harvesting and ensure long-term water sustainability. The union Government has also sent Inter-Ministerial Central teams to visit Punjab to assess the extent of damage, and based on their detailed report further assistance will be considered. Prime Minister expressed his condolences to the family members of those who have lost their lives in the natural calamity and stated that the union Government will work closely with the State Governments in this difficult time and extend all possible assistance. Prime Minister also met families from Punjab who were affected by the calamities and floods. He expressed his complete solidarity with all those who had suffered and expressed deep sorrow who had lost their close ones. PM Modi also announced an ex-gratia of Rs.2 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs.50,000 to the seriously injured in the floods and natural calamity. The Prime Minister announced that children orphaned due to the recent floods and landslides will be extended comprehensive support under the PM CARES for Children scheme. This will ensure their long-term welfare. Prime Minister stated that all assistance under disaster management rules are being made including advance disbursements to the States. He appreciated the efforts of the personnel of NDRF, SDRF, Army, State administration and other service-oriented organisations for making efforts in immediate relief and response. The Central government will further review the assessment based on the memorandum of the State as well as the report of the Central teams. Prime Minister acknowledged the gravity of the situation and assured that the Central Government will make all efforts to address the situation.

Jalandhar, Punjab:पति ने पत्नी को हार्पिक पिलाकर की हत्या, पति और सास पर केस - अवैध संबंध के शक में पत्नी को हार्पिक पिलाने का आरोप - जज ने अस्पताल पहुंचकर दर्ज किए महिला के लिखित बयान जालंधर में अवैध संबंधों का विरोध करने पर पति व सास ने महिला को जबरन टॉयलेट साफ करने वाला हार्पिक पिला दिया। जिसके बाद महिला की हालत गंभीर हो गई। उसे फोर्टिस अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया, जहां जान बचाने के लिए उसे वेंटिलेटर पर रखा गया। इलाज के दौरान उसने दम तोड़ दिया। मरने से पहले महिला ने ज्यूडिशियल मजिस्ट्रेट के सामने अपने बयान दर्ज कराए थे। उसमें महिला ने आरोप लगाया था कि उसका पति अपनी मां व उसकी बेटी को लेकर अस्पताल से फरार हो गया। महिला बोलने की हालत में नहीं थी तो उसने लिखकर अपना बयान दिया था। इसके बाद पुलिस ने आरोपी पति व सास के खिलाफ FIR दर्ज कर उनकी तलाश शुरू कर दी है। मृतका नेहा के रिश्तेदार दिव्या ने बताया कि नेहा की शादी पति उमंग बस्सी से हुई थी और उसकी किसी लड़की के साथ बाहर बातचीत थी। इसी के चलते दोनों में विवाद हुआ तो पति उमंग बस्सी और सास कुसुम बस्सी ने नेहा को जहर पिला दिया था। उसकी ईलाज दौरान मौत हो गई, जिसकी शिकायत उन्होंने पुलिस को दी। वहीं थाना करतारपुर के एएसआई के बोध राज कहां कि उन्हें कंट्रोल रूम पर सूचना मिली थी कि महिला को टॉयलेट साफ करने वाला हार्पिक पिलाया गया है और उसे ईलाज के लिए अस्पताल में दाखिल करवाया गया है, जहां उसकी मौत हो गई है। उन्होंने मृतक के पारिवारिक सदस्यों के बयानों पर केस दर्ज कर आरोपियों की तलाश शुरू कर दी है और वह जल्द ही आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर लेंगे। बाइट- दिव्या (रिश्तेदार) बाइट- बोध राज (एएसआई)

Noida, Uttar Pradesh:पंजाब के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री चरणजीत सिंह चढ़ने की ओर से एग्जामिनेशन हॉल मे परीक्षा के दौरान अपनी फ़ोटो खींचने को लेकर गवर्नर पंजाब और चंडीगढ़ के प्रशासक को भी मौदगिल मे की शिकायत पंजाब के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री चरणजीत सिंह चढ़ने की ओर से एग्जामिनेशन हॉल मे परीक्षा के दौरान अपनी फ़ोटो खींचने को लेकर चंडीगढ़ के पूर्व मेयर और PU के पूर्व सीनेट-सिंडिकेट सदस्य एडवोकेट देवेश मौदगिल ने पंजाब यूनिवर्सिटी चंडीगढ़ के वाइस चांसलर को पत्र लिखकर मामले की जांच और सभी के लिए नियमों का समान रूप से पालन सुनिश्चित करने की मांग की है। मौदगिल ने पीयू चांसलर, कुलपति, पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री और पंजाब के राज्यपाल एवं चंडीगढ़ प्रशासक को पत्र भेजकर कार्रवाई की मांग की है। पंजाब यूनिवर्सिटी में पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री चरणजीत सिंह चन्नी की परीक्षा के दौरान परीक्षा केंद्र के अंदर की तस्वीर सामने आने से परीक्षा व्यवस्था पर सवाल खड़े हो गए हैं। चन्नी एमए लोक प्रशासन की परीक्षा दे रहे थे। उनका एग्जाम दोपहर साढ़े 12 बजे तक था। पेपर लिखने के बाद वह एग्जाम हॉल से बाहर आते दिखे। इस दौरान एग्जाम सेंटर में परीक्षा देते हुए उनकी फोटो और वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हो गए। इनमें वह अन्य स्टूडेंट्स के बीच बैठकर अपना पेपर सॉल्व करते नजर आए। चन्नी की सिक्योरिटी समेत दूसरे स्टाफ को एग्जाम हॉल से बाहर रखा गया था। पेपर खत्म होने के बाद चन्नी ने परीक्षा केंद्र के बाहर आकर बातचीत भी की थी। अब इसी को लेकर विवाद खड़ा हो गया है और मामले में कार्रवाई की मांग की जा रही है।

During the operation, the following items were recovered: - Approximately 5 kg of gelatin stick explosives - One detonator - Power source and remotely operated system - One pistol - One magazine - Five live cartridges Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused persons had allegedly come in contact with Satnam Satta Naushera, a foreign-based handler associated with BKI. They were allegedly acting on his directions and had planned to plant an IED in Chandigarh with the intention of creating terror. The recovery of explosives, triggering components and firearms has been taken into possession as per law. Further investigation is underway to establish the wider network, source of the explosive material and the role of other associates. Chandigarh Police remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of citizens and taking firm action against any attempt to disturb peace and public order.

Shimla, Himachal Pradesh:हिमाचल प्रदेश में बारिश के कारण सार्वजनिक सेवाएं प्रभावित हैं। स्टेट इमरजेंसी ऑपरेशन सेंटर की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, प्रदेश में 121 सड़कें बंद हैं जबकि 31 डीटीआर बाधित और 19 पेयजल योजनाएं भी प्रभावित हैं। रविवार शाम की तुलना में सड़कों की संख्या 125 से घटकर 121 हुई है। हिमाचल प्रदेश में बारिश और इससे जुड़ी घटनाओं से अब तक 1137 करोड़ रुपये से ज्यादा का नुकसान हुआ है। वहीं, सड़क हादसों और प्राकृतिक आपदा को मिलाकर 230 लोगों की मौत हुई है। इनमें 136 मौतें सड़क हादसों में और 94 मौतें प्राकृतिक आपदा के कारण हुई हैं। जिला स्तर पर सबसे ज्यादा मंडी में 61 सड़कें बंद हैं। इसके बाद कुल्लू में 31, कांगड़ा में 8, चंबा में 7, सिरमौर में 5, शिमला में 4, ऊना में 4 और लाहौल-स्पीति में 1 सड़क बंद है। बिलासपुर, हमीरपुर, किन्नौर और सोलन में कोई सड़क बंद नहीं है। बिजली आपूर्ति की बात करें, तो कुल्लू में 18, मंडी में 9 और शिमला में 1 डीटीआर बाधित है। कांगड़ा में 3 डीटीआर प्रभावित हैं। वहीं पेयजल योजनाओं में शिमला की 4 योजनाएं और कांगड़ा की 1 योजना प्रभावित है। राज्य स्तर पर कुल 31 डीटीआर और 19 पेयजल योजनाएं बाधित हैं。

Noida, Uttar Pradesh:इटली में सड़क हादसे में मोगा के एक व्यक्ति की मौतइटली में एक सड़क हादसे में 44 साल के एक व्यक्ति की मौत हो गई... मृतक की पहचान मोगा ज़िले के नंगल गाँव के रहने वाले रणवीर सिंह के तौर पर हुई है ; वह पिछले 26 सालों से अपने परिवार के साथ इटली में रह रहे थे... रणवीर अपनी妻 और बच्चों के साथ बच्चों के लिए किताबें खरीदने बाज़ार गए थे। उन्होंने अपनी कार सड़क के किनारे खड़ी की और सड़क पार करके दूसरी तरफ़ एक दुकान पर गए। खरीदारी के बाद लौटते समय, सड़क पार करते हुए उन्हें तेज़ रफ़्तार कार ने टक्कर मार दी। उन्हें गंभीर हालत में अस्पताल ले जाया गया, लेकिन इलाज के दौरान उनकी मौत हो गई। हादसे के समय उनकी पत्नी और बच्चे भी वहीं मौजूद थे。 रणवीर के पिता जगजीत सिंह, जो एक रिटायर्ड वेटनरी इंस्पेक्टर हैं, ने बताया कि रणवीर उनके तीन बेटों में सबसे बड़े थे और काम के सिलसिले में 2000 में इटली गए थे, जहाँ वह एक होज़ियरी फ़ैक्टरी में काम करते थे。
