Case FIR No. 129 dated 01.12.2025 U/s 103, 3(5) BNS 2023 added U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act and U/s 341(2) BNS 2023, PS-26, U.T., Chandigarh. Today, acting on credible intelligence and sustained efforts, a team of DCC and PS-26 officers under the supervision of W/SSP/UT Chandigarh arrested one person namely Sunny Kumar s/o Sukhmesh Kumar aged 35 years from near Shamshan Ghat, Bhagat Ghat Colony Kharar SAS Nagar Punjab, who is wanted in murder case of Inderpreet Singh. The accused absconding since the commission of the crime and actively being searched by the police. The base of his arrest that he knowingly provided shelter and logistical support to the main accused involved in murder of Inderpreet Singh prior to the commission of the crime. With his arrest one country made pistol and 2 live cartridges were recovered from his possession. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the role of shooters, who stayed at his residence and to recover additional evidence related to the crime. Chandigarh Police
