On the flag-hoisting ceremony of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Senior RSS leader Ram Madhav says, "... Nobody has hijacked it (Lord Ram). Prime Minister is the Prime Minister of the whole country. He represents the entire nation. So it's not any political activity. But you also must recall that when the temple's formal inauguration and installation of 'murti' happened, an invitation was extended to leaders of all the political parties. Several political parties were present at that event. A couple of them, including the Congress party, decided not to participate, which was, I think, a very unwise decision... As far as we are concerned, whether it is RSS or BJP or the current leadership is concerned, it's never about politics, it's always about upholding the values that Ram represented, this temple will be a major inspiration for building Ram Rajya in our country..."
