Rains expected in coming days.
Srinagar, The weather across Jammu and Kashmir is set to remain dry & heatwave will continue but intermittent rains will also be expected over the coming days, with both rainfall and heatwave conditions likely to affect different parts of the region, according to the Meteorological Department.
Officials have forecast intermittent rainfall in several areas of the Kashmir Valley, particularly during the evening and early morning hours, accompanied by cloudy skies and occasional thunderstorms. These weather patterns may bring temporary relief from the rising temperatures but could also disrupt normal life in low-lying areas prone to waterlogging.
In contrast, parts of the Jammu region are expected to witness heatwave-like conditions, with maximum temperatures likely to hover above normal levels. The Met department has advised residents to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, and take necessary precautions, especially during peak afternoon hours.
Authorities have urged travelers and commuters to stay updated with the latest weather advisories and plan their journeys accordingly, as sudden changes in weather may impact road and air travel.
The Meteorological Department will continue to monitor the evolving weather situation and issue timely updates
