The Jammu & Kashmir Ladakh Pensioners united Front held a press conference in Srinagar to express concerns regarding their potential exclusion from the 8th Pay
25th March successful protest and submitting memorandums to Prime minster in the entire country an eye opener for central govt.
Qayoom Wani thanked pensioners of whole country in general and pensioners of Jammu Kashmir in particular for historical unity.
Today after successful protest and submitting memorandums to the all the district collectors/Deputy commissioners for onward submission to Honble prime minister all over the country under the banner of All India state pensioners federation and Jammu Kashmir pensioners united front. Immediately for programe an emergency meeting was held at central office Jammu Kashmir pensioner's united front at Bemna under the president ship of Ab Qayoom wani. After deberations and getting feedback from whole country in general and from all the three regions of Jammu Kashmir in particular all the leaders showed satisfaction over success of programe and hailed the pensioners of country especially the pensioners of twenty two districts in general and the leadership state, provincial leadership especially district presidents and sub district presidents and their bodies for their efforts and commitment in making 25th march programe successful and historical. Qayoom wani hailed the entire leadership from centre to state level showing team spirit and wisdom. Wani said that the way crores of pensioners of our country showed unity and concern towards pensioners issues especially towards anti pensioner finance bill and ordinance passed by parliament in 25th of March in 2025. Wani said this
ordinance has confused the pensioners and seems to be intentionally passed by the govt, to deprive pensioners from 8th pay commission benefits. Wani said today historical protest and memorandums submitted to Honble PM through the district collectors of whole country is an eye opener for central govt. Wani said that absolute one crore pensioners of country are united to defend their rights and if central govt, or the pay commission tried to deprive pensions from their legitimate right of pay commission the pensioners leadership will have no option to come on roads to defend their rights. Wani said that all India state pensioners federation has decided to call general council meeting at Jaipore Rajisthan on 29th and 30th of April to chalk out future course of action and leaders from Jammu Kashmir will also participate in that meeting.
Wani briefed the press after the meeting at central office and highlighted the pensioner's issues and future programe.
