Jammu & Kashmir. Intelligence agencies have issued a fresh high-risk alert, warning that Jaish-e-Mohammad is reportedly planning a Delhi- or Pulwama-like major attack in the Valley. Security forces across Kashmir have been asked to dramatically beef up security. A new intelligence input has triggered serious concern for the security establishment in Jammu & Kashmir. This warning comes just days after the high-intensity VBIED blast near Delhi’s Red Fort on November 10, followed by the seizure of a massive cache of IED-making material in Faridabad. In Srinagar, the situation is tense. CRPF, J&K Police, SOG, and special ops teams are on the ground conducting round-the-clock searches. – Two-wheelers and four-wheelers are being stopped and frisked – ID cards are being thoroughly verified – Dog squads, CCTV surveillance, and drones are monitoring movement – Intensive search operations are underway in Downtown, Uptown, and Civil Lines Altaf Thakur strongly reply Jaish-e-Mohammad and Pakistan, saying the fresh intel proves the desperation of Pakistan-backed terror outfits. He said security forces will crush any attempt to destabilize peace in Jammu & Kashmir. With tensions rising and intelligence inputs pointing toward a major terror plot, security in the Valley remains at its highest alert level. Forces continue to conduct area domination and intensive checks to prevent any untoward incident.
