Senior BJP Leader Mir Abdul Hameed Gurazi Demands Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s Resignation, Citing Poor Infrastructure in Gurez Srinagar: Senior Dardsheen leader and prominent BJP figure Mir Abdul Hameed Gurazi on Tuesday strongly criticized the Omar Abdullah–led NC government, accusing it of “completely failing” to develop the far-flung Gurez region. Gurazi said the people of Gurez continue to suffer due to poor infrastructure, inadequate road connectivity, and lack of basic facilities, despite repeated assurances by the government. Expressing deep dissatisfaction, he demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, stating that the NC government has “ignored Gurez for years” and failed to address the genuine needs of its residents. Gurazi urged the central government to intervene and ensure proper development of the border valley, saying that the people cannot be left to struggle any longer.
