In the wake of the tragic bus accident near Madina in Saudi Arabia involving Indian Umrah pilgrims, the All Haj & Umrah Association President, Nissar Ahmad Wani, has issued an urgent appeal to both the Saudi Arabian government and the Government of India. Wani said that the families of the deceased are in deep distress and need immediate support. He urged that the bodies of all the deceased pilgrims should be brought back to their native villages in India at the earliest, so that families can perform the final rites with dignity. He further added that the affected families must receive adequate compensation from both governments, considering the gravity of the tragedy and the financial hardships many of them face. Wani stressed that timely coordination between Saudi authorities, Indian consulate officials, and concerned agencies is essential to ensure the swift repatriation of bodies and proper assistance for the injured and the families of the victims.
