Pulwama, Sept 13: Residents of Shaltokna of Pulwama district have raised serious concern over the extensive damage to their paddy fields caused by recent floods. They said that despite suffering huge losses, no official from the Agriculture Department has so far visited the area to assess the situation. Locals stressed that the majority of households in the village depend on agriculture for their livelihood, and the flood damage has left them worried about their survival. The residents appealed to the government to send a team to the area to evaluate the losses and provide necessary compensation and assistance to the affected farmers.
