Many retailers said they had arranged extra stock weeks ago anticipating the demand. “This is one of our busiest periods. We prepared early so customers don’t face shortages,” said a local dry-fruit seller in the town. The pre-Ramadan shopping wave has injected fresh momentum into small businesses that rely heavily on seasonal sales. Vendors dealing in confectionery, spices and traditional snacks said strong early demand has raised hopes for better earnings compared to previous months marked by slow trade.
