The incident triggered outrage among patients and attendants, who termed it a serious threat to human life. Reacting to the allegations, the Medical Superintendent of GMC Anantnag stated that the matter would be looked into and appropriate action would be taken if any negligence is found. Calling the incident a grave lapse, concerns have been raised over patient safety and accountability. “This is not mere negligence; it is criminal endangerment of human life. Are patients meant to be treated or experimented upon? Who is responsible for this life-threatening lapse?” a patient said. Patient urged immediate intervention, urging authorities, including Dr. Bilal Bhat (IAS), to order a time-bound inquiry and ensure strict action against those found responsible.
