JKSA president Nasir Khuehami told that in the past, students had faced harassment and disciplinary action over posts or celebrations during such matches. “We appeal to students not to indulge in any activity that may endanger their safety or academic career. Support any team, but avoid comments that could be misinterpreted,” he said. The association also requested college administrations to ensure a safe environment for Kashmiri students, stressing that sports should not become a cause of division or hostility.
