Army''''s White Knight Corps wrote that contact has been established and heavy exchange of fire is underway. Jahangir Saroori, a top commander affiliated with Hizbul Mujahideen, has been active for over three decades and is responsible for several terror activities, recruitment, and logistics support in the Chenab Valley region, especially in Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban districts. Security forces are maintaining tight cordon in the area. An intense encounter is underway in the Dool area of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir, where contact was established early this morning between security forces and hiding militants. Security forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in the area following specific intelligence inputs. Multiple units of Army, CRPF, and J&K Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) are jointly conducting the operation in the dense forested terrain. Heavy firing is ongoing, and additional reinforcements have been rushed to the area. Top officials have arrived near the operation site and are monitoring the situation closely.
