Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-E-Sharie Shian’s Secretary on Interfaith Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi said Anjuman Sharie Shian stayed away from LG called Civil Society Interaction . While addressing the Press Conference Aga Muntazir said that Kashmir has been a melting pot of diverse religious and cultural influences, including Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam. This confluence of traditions has fostered a unique Kashmiriyat—a shared sense of identity and cultural ethos that emphasizes harmony and brotherhood among all Kashmiris, regardless of their religious beliefs. This ethos is a powerful example of how diverse religious communities can coexist peacefully, supporting and enriching each other. While giving the example how People of Jammu and Kashmir from centuries Kashmiris have been safeguarding and providing exemplary hospitality and safety to tourists and Yatris as we have been taught hospitality, humanity and safeguarding the rights of guests. He said that their history bears a witness that they as a nation have always stood firm with these ethics and teachings and we have always respected, safeguarded and served our guest during hardest of times and worst calamites and have never shun this attribute of our national life. While Questioning the Government of J&K , why religious rights of Jammu and Kashmir Muslims are infringed , we have seen how Jamia Masjid is being locked on important occasions be it Jumatul Vida, Shab e Qadar , Shab Baraat even on Eids. While referring to ongoing Month of Muharram , Aga Said Muthida Jaloos e Ashura continues to remain Banned which is hurting our religious Sentiments . He retreated that People of Jammu and Kashmir be it Muslim Sikh Christian will always welcome Yatris with open heart and will do everything in facilitating them while they observe their religious rights .
