Diwali Celebrated Across Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir Indian Army, BSF, CRPF, SSB, and other security personnel celebrated Diwali with great enthusiasm along the Line of Control (LoC) that divides Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan. Festivities were witnessed in several LoC sectors, including Tangdhar (Kupwara), Jammu, Akhnoor, Uri, Gurez, Rajouri, Poonch, Gulmarg Butapathri, and Kishtwar, where soldiers lit diyas, exchanged sweets, and danced to celebrate the festival of lights. Despite being far from their families, the troops marked the occasion with high spirits and patriotic fervor. The atmosphere was filled with “Josh and Jai Hind” slogans as soldiers expressed their commitment to safeguarding the nation. The soldiers also conveyed a message to citizens across the country to celebrate Diwali without fear, assuring that they stand guard at the borders to handle any kind of threat or untoward incident. It was a heartwarming sight of dedication and courage — Indian soldiers celebrating Diwali thousands of kilometers away from their homes, protecting the frontiers of the nation with pride.
