MLA Gulmarg, Farooq Ahmad Shah, chaired a review meeting of Sub-Divisional Level Officers at Town Hall Tangmarg to assess the functioning of various departments and to take a detailed review of ongoing developmental projects across the constituency. The meeting was attended by officers from key departments including R&B, PHE, PDD, RDD, Education, Health, and other related departments. Officers briefed the MLA about the progress of ongoing works, schemes, and future plans aimed at improving public services in their respective areas. During the meeting, the MLA took a detailed review of road construction, water supply schemes, electrification works, and rural development activities being carried out in different parts of the Gulmarg constituency. He stressed the need to complete all projects within the set timelines and as per approved quality standards. He directed the concerned officers to maintain high standards in every work and ensure visible progress on the ground. MLA Farooq Ahmad Shah underlined the importance of close coordination among departments to ensure smooth execution of works and better service delivery to the public. He instructed officers to actively address public grievances and ensure that the benefits of development reach the people effectively. While addressing the officers, the MLA said that the Government is committed to ensuring overall growth and people-friendly governance. He urged all departments to work with honesty, dedication, and transparency so that development is reflected in every area of the constituency. The MLA appreciated departments that have shown good performance and assured full support from his office to resolve any issues hindering the progress of works. He also directed the R&B Department to expedite the completion of the Sub-District Hospital Tangmarg and pending school building projects at the earliest. In view of the upcoming winter season, the MLA directed the PDD to remain prepared and make all necessary arrangements, including preparation of estimates for replacement of wires and poles, and maintaining a buffer stock of transformers so that people do not face any inconvenience during the winter months.
