Families in Baramulla district Urge Immediate Evacuation of Students Stranded in Iran Baramulla, March 3: Families from the Tangmarg sub-division of north Kashmir have expressed deep concern over the safety of their children who are currently stranded in Iran amid the prevailing tensions in the region. The anxious parents have appealed to the Government of India to take urgent steps to ensure the safe evacuation and return of the students. According to the families, several students from the Tangmarg area of Tangmarg are pursuing their studies in Iran and are presently facing uncertainty due to the unstable situation there. The worried parents said they are in constant contact with their children, who have conveyed fears about their safety. Among those stranded are one student from Ferozpora village and another from Tumberhama village. Their family members have made a heartfelt appeal to the Ministry of External Affairs to intervene immediately and facilitate their safe return home. The families have urged the concerned authorities to initiate a coordinated evacuation process at the earliest, ensuring the security and well-being of all Indian students stranded in Iran. They emphasized that the safety of their children is their top priority and appealed to the central government to respond swiftly in this critical situation. The residents of the area have also expressed solidarity with the affected families and joined in the appeal for immediate government action.
