The Bhaderwah–Pathankot inter-state road in Doda district has been restored after an avalanche hit the area on Wednesday afternoon, leaving several vehicles stranded for some time. Officials said the avalanche struck the stretch between Thanthera and Guldanda at around 2 pm. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. Guldanda is a popular winter tourist destination in the Jammu region and attracts a large number of visitors during snowfall. At the time of the incident, many vehicles carrying tourists were trapped on the road. After receiving information, teams from the Border Roads Organisation, police, and local administration immediately rushed to the spot. Following the clearance of snow and debris, all stranded vehicles were safely evacuated, and the tourists were rescued without any injury.
