Spl Exclusive Ground Zero Report on Massive Anti-Terror Operations Continue in Chenab Valley’s Seoj Dhar and Keshwan Forests Slug-2309ZS_KTR_ENCOUNTER_R By Raja Rehber Jamal  Location-Kishtwar  VO:Security forces are continuing a massive anti-terror operation in the dense forests Of Chenab Valley including Seoj Dhar, bordering Doda’s Bhaderwah and Udhampur’s Basantgarh, along with Keshwan forest in Kishtwar district, to track down terrorists believed to have infiltrated from across the border.   The operation involves the Indian Army, J&K Police, SOG, Para Commandos, and CRPF. While no fresh contact has been established after the initial exchange of fire, ground troops, aerial surveillance by helicopters and drones, and sniffer dogs are being deployed to flush out the militants hiding in the rugged terrain. Officials said the ultras are suspected to have infiltrated through Kathua–Udhampur routes to reach the upper reaches of Doda and Kishtwar, where two encounters have been reported in the past three days. The dense forests and difficult topography are posing major challenges for the security forces. White Knight Corps Commander Lt Gen P K Mishra, along with GOC CIF-Delta Maj Gen A P S Bal, visited Seoj Dhar to review the ongoing operations in Udhampur, Doda, and Kishtwar districts. Meanwhile, searches were also launched in Dragal village of Kathua after reports of two armed men being spotted in the upper reaches. Army, J&K Police, and CRPF pressed surveillance units and sniffer dogs into service, but the suspects remain untraced. The intensified operations follow the death of an Army jawan in Seoj Dhar on Friday, raising this year’s security forces’ toll in counter-terrorism operations in the region to 20 — 14 in Jammu and six in Kashmir. Another gunfight erupted on Sunday in Keshwan forest of Kishtwar, which also shares borders with Doda. As of now, joint forces are maintaining round-the-clock surveillance with drones and helicopters, while combing operations continue in both Seoj Dhar and Keshwan to neutralize the infiltrating terrorists.
