Students in Sheikhmuqam, Aloosa affected by lack of mobile connectivity. The Sheikhmuqam area of Aloosa is facing a complete lack of mobile network connectivity. At present, no mobile service provider is functional in the area. Earlier, Jio services were available for some time but later stopped working. Residents then shifted to Airtel, which has also become non-functional. Mobile connectivity is required for accessing various government services under the Digital India initiative. Services such as PM Kisan registration, ration distribution through e-KYC, online education, and other digital platforms depend on mobile network availability. Due to the absence of connectivity, residents are unable to access these services. Students in the area are facing difficulties in attending online classes and downloading study material. Many students are compelled to travel outside the area to access mobile network services for educational purposes. The issue has been raised with the district administration on several occasions since 2017. Despite assurances from successive administrations, mobile connectivity has not been restored. Residents of Sheikhmuqam, Aloosa have requested the District Administration Bandipora to take necessary steps to provide mobile network connectivity in the area.
