BJP senior leader Ajaz Ahmed has lauded the coordinated efforts of Jammu and Kashmir Police, intelligence units, and central agencies probing the recent Delhi blast, stating that timely arrests and detentions reflect strong counter-terror vigilance. He said the public expects all involved criminals to be brought to justice without delay. However, Ahmed raised concerns over the government’s clarification on the proposed peak-hour power tariff hike, asserting that assurances are not convincing given previous unfulfilled commitments that affected public trust. Reacting sharply to Mehbooba Mufti’s criticism of the ongoing police actions, Ahmed said that questioning law enforcement during a sensitive national security operation is “not in national interest.” He added that the former Chief Minister and her party “must understand the difference between a criminal and a nationalist.”
