NEW TIME TABLE OF EASTERN RAILWAY W.E.F. 01.01.2026 Kolkata, December 30, 2025 The features of new Time Table of Eastern Railway which will be effective from 01.01.2026, aimed at considerable improvement in train running algorithm as well as optimisation of path resulting in considerable reduction in journey time. This reduction in journey time will in turn increase operational flexibility and will make for provision of accommodating more trains in near future. This improvement is the outcome of dedicated maintenance work carried out throughout the year and passengers can look forward to faster and more efficient train journeys. The upgrades in infrastructure and tracks will significantly reduce travel times, making rail travel and even more attractive options. Following major changes in timings of Mail/Express, Passenger trains and local trains as well as modification of timings, increase in frequency, extension of train route etc. which have been incorporated in new Time Table. The salient feature of the new Time Table includes provision of extension of six Howrah – Arambagh – Howrah EMU locals (37359, 37365, 37367, 37369, 37360, 37366) upto Goghat, two Howrah – Tarakeswar – Howrah EMU locals (37341, 37354) upto Goghat, four Tarakeswar – Arambagh – Tarakeswar EMU locals (37385, 37396, 37398, 37386) upto Goghat, one Sealdah – Ranaghat EMU local (31635) upto Shantipur, One B B D Bag – Barrackpore EMU local (30113) upto Kalyani and one Barrackpore – Sealdah EMU local (31242) upto Kalyani to suit the need of the commuters suburban section. Two Barddhaman – Tinpahar MEMU (63063, 63064) will be extended upto Sahibganj. Frequency of six EMU trains will be revised. 33318/33321 Hasnabad – Barasat – Hasnabad EMU local will run daily instead of six days a week. 31223/31242 Sealdah – Barrackpore – Sealdah EMU local & 30116/30113 Barrackpore – B B D Bag EMU local will run six days a week instead of daily run. Moreover, timings of 45 Mail/Express trains & 203 Nos. of EMU/MEMU/DEMU/Passenger trains have been revised.
