KPCC Secretary C.S. Srinivasan, who was arrested in connection with an investment fraud case, was brought to the Heewans Head Office in Chakkamukku for evidence collection. The case involves allegations that the financial institution Heewans Finance accepted investments and committed fraud. Earlier, the police had arrested T.A. Sunder Menon, the chairman of Heavens Finance, a prominent industrialist, Padma Shri awardee, and the president of the Thiruvambady Devaswom.

The donation box in front of the sanctum was found smashed and overturned. A woman who arrived at the temple in the morning for assistance noticed the broken donation box. She immediately informed the temple authorities about the incident. The donation box in front of the sanctum was forcibly opened and overturned, and a nearby lamp was also found broken.

On July 4, 1997, Dr. Jawahar, a resident of Gandhigram in Irinjalakuda, suffered severe injuries after his scooter fell into a pothole on the road at Kombara, Irinjalakuda, leading to his death on July 8, 1997.

In Thrissur, the police have arrested suspects involved in the theft
of gold worth ₹42 lakh from workers of a jewelry manufacturing unit
after luring them to a lodge. The accused are Sampson Peter (21), also
known as Paki, from Palliparambil House in Karikkode Thekkumbhagam
Desam, Idukki, and Nandu Deepu (21) from Padikkachikunnel House,
Karinkunnam, Idukki. They were apprehended from Moolamattom in Idukki
district.

Thrissur, Kerala:
A female dentist was attacked by street dogs in Mal Ashtamichira. Dr. Parvathi Sreejith, a resident of Ashtamichira, was the victim of the attack by the street dogs. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon when she was coming home from her clinic for lunch, through the backside of the Indian Oil pump. Seeing the dogs approaching, Parvathi got scared and fell backward. The dogs then bit her on both thighs and arms, causing severe injuries. The fall also resulted in a fracture in her arm.
