KULDIP GOUTAM SHARMAAround 700 students at Cotton University are facing problems with hostel fee waivers and mobility grants. Out of 500 residents in Hostel Seven, only 124 have received hostel mess dues. Additionally, despite 70% of the university's students being eligible, only 361 have been awarded mobility grant scholarships. Students from approximately 12 departments were unable to register for the Assam State scholarship program. The situation has left many students without expected financial support.

of gold worth ₹42 lakh from workers of a jewelry manufacturing unit
after luring them to a lodge. The accused are Sampson Peter (21), also
known as Paki, from Palliparambil House in Karikkode Thekkumbhagam
Desam, Idukki, and Nandu Deepu (21) from Padikkachikunnel House,
Karinkunnam, Idukki. They were apprehended from Moolamattom in Idukki
district.

Thrissur, Kerala:
A female dentist was attacked by street dogs in Mal Ashtamichira. Dr. Parvathi Sreejith, a resident of Ashtamichira, was the victim of the attack by the street dogs. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon when she was coming home from her clinic for lunch, through the backside of the Indian Oil pump. Seeing the dogs approaching, Parvathi got scared and fell backward. The dogs then bit her on both thighs and arms, causing severe injuries. The fall also resulted in a fracture in her arm.
