Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi says, Agriculture and farming have always been a key part of our development journey. It is crucial that agriculture continues to receive government support as times change. Unfortunately, previous governments abandoned agriculture. The government lacked any vision or thought for agriculture. Different government departments related to agriculture operated in their own ways, leading to a continuous weakening of India's agricultural system. For 21st-century India to achieve rapid development, reforms in our agricultural system were essential, and this began in 2014. We change. the previous governments' careless attitude towards agriculture. We implemented countless reforms and improvements for the benefit of all of you farmers, from seeds to the market. The results are evident today... Delhi: In a special Krishi programme at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Prime Minister Narendra Modi says, Today, the 11th October, is a very historic day. Today is the birth anniversary of two great gems of Mother India who created history. Bharat Ratna Jayaprakash Narayan and Bharat Ratna Nanaji Deshmukh, both these great sons were the voice of rural India. the pioneers of democratic revolution. They were dedicated to the welfare of farmers and the poor. Today, on this historic day. two important new schemes are being launched for the country's self-reliance and the welfare of farmers. Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi says, When the deprived are given priority and backward areas are focused on, the results are remarkable. Today, in Aspirational Districts, maternal mortality has decreased, child health has improved, and educational standards have risen. Across multiple parameters, these districts are now performing better than many other districts. Based on this model, we now want to focus on developing 100 districts in agriculture that are currently lagging, so they can catch up with the more advanced districts. The PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana is inspired by the Aspirational Districts model... We often hear about the number 36. We repeatedly mention it, but here, the 36 refers to the number of government schemes being integrated. In this plan, we are linking 36 government schemes together to work in a coordinated manner. In the PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana, special focus is also being given to livestock. As you know, over 125 crore vaccines have been administered free of cost to protect animals from diseases like foot-and-mouth disease and rinderpest. This has improved animal health and reduced farmers’ concerns... Delhi: union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan says, The Prime Minister has increased the MSP of Rabi crops... By increasing the MSP, the Prime Minister has ensured that farmers get the right and full price for their produce. We are thankful to the PM because under the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi, so far Rs 3 lakh 90,000 crore has been deposited in the accounts of farmers through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
