AMRITSAR (PUNJAB): Delegation of Rajya Sabha MPs arrived and offered prayers at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib. About 20 Rajya Sabha members from various parties were present as part of the Parliamentary Standing Committee (Industry) visit to Amritsar. They offered prayers before Guru Granth Sahib Ji for the progress, peace and prosperity of Punjab and discussed industrial prospects and central schemes to benefit the common people, especially the poor and youth. Neeraj Dangi of Rajasthan said the visit aims to study Punjab’s industrial situation and to ensure central schemes reach people. Hanuman Beniwal highlighted Punjab’s sacrifices and remembered martyrs. The delegation also paid tribute at Jallianwala Bagh and expressed concern over rising drug problems, praying for a drug-free Punjab. Some members visited the Attari border retreat ceremony. They described the Amritsar visit as important for industrial discussions and as an opportunity to bow at the holy land of the Gurus.
