Urge union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman to extend the last date for filing GST returns in view of the Diwali festival which is also falling on October 20. The Punjab Beopar Mandal has desired this to allow traders to settle their accounts after Diwali. They have suggested the deadline for submission of GST returns be extended to October 25-30. I request you to consider this request sympathetically.

Noida, Uttar Pradesh:रिहायशी इलाके में आया बारासिंघा - लोगों में मचा हड़कंप, मौके पर पहुंची पुलिस व जंगलात विभाग जालंधर के रिहायशी इलाके में बारासिंघा गांव के अंदर आ गया। बारासिंघा को देखकर गांववासियों में हड़कंप मच गया। जिसके बाद लोगों ने मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए तुरंत घटना की सूचना वन विभाग को दी। सूचना मिलते ही वन विभाग की टीम मौके पर पहुंची। जिसके बाद कुछ समय में वन विभाग की टीम ने बारासिंघा को जाल बिछाकर काबू कर लिया। वन विभाग की ओर से लोगों से सावधान रहने की अपील की है। उन्होंने लोगों से कहा कि इलाके में जंगली जानवर को देखने पर वह तुरंत इसकी सूचना वन विभाग की टीम को दें। उन्होंने कहा कि काबू किए बारासिंघा को जगंलों में छोड़ा जा रहा है

The June 1984 Operation Blue Star was a cumulative decision of the Army, the police, the intelligence and the civil services, he said. Chidambaram was addressing a gathering during a discussion on the ''They Will Shoot You, Madam: My life through conflict'' with author Harinder Baweja. Operation Blue Star was a 10-day military operation spanning from June 1 to June 10, 1984. June 6, 1984, marked the day when the Indian Army, under Operation Blue Star, stormed into the Golden Temple on orders of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi to contain Sikh militancy under the leadership of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale in Punjab. It was reported that Bhindranwale had stashed large quantities of arms on the Golden Temple premises. Bhindranwale was the head of the radical Sikh outfit Damdami Taksal. He, along with his armed followers, was killed during Operation Blue Star, launched by the Indian Army to flush out the militants from the Golden Temple complex in June 1984. The Operation was heavily criticised. Months later, Indira Gandhi was assassinated by two of her Sikh bodyguards at her New Delhi residence on October 31, 1984. Beant Singh and Satwant Singh were Indira Gandhi's bodyguards and killed her on October 31, 1984, at her residence.

A more strategic approach like Operation Black Thunder, where electricity and water supply to the Golden Temple were cut off and militants were compelled to surrender could have achieved the objective without desecrating the sanctity of Sri Harmandir Sahib and the Akal Takhat, and without the tragic loss of innocent devotees’ lives. Mrs. Indira Gandhi, for poltical reasons, chose the path of confrontation for electoral gain, seeking to ignite nationalist fervour before the 1984 parliamentary elections by portraying the most patriotic community of India the Sikhs as anti-national. In doing so, she got trapped in her own political web and ultimately paid for it with her life. But the real tragedy was borne by my community — over 3,000 Sikhs were brutally massacred in Delhi and more than 30,000 killed across Punjab, victims of a calculated political design that tore apart the social fabric of the nation. History must record the truth: Operation Blue Star was not a national necessity — it was a political misadventure.

चंडीगढ़ पुलिस ने SC/ST धारा 3(2)(वी) जोड़कर आजीवन कारावास का प्रावधान किया

Chandigarh, Chandigarh:चंडीगढ़ पुलिस ने देर रात IPS वाई पूरन कुमार के परिवार की एक मांग को मानते हुए एफआईआर में लगाए गये SC/ST एक्ट में धारा 3(2)(वी) को जोड़ दिया है。 परिवार लगातार ये धारा जोड़ने की मांग कर रहा था और परिवार का कहना था कि एफआईआर में SC/ST एक्ट तो लगाया गया है लेकिन उसके सख्त सेक्शन नहीं लगाए गए हैं。 SC/ST एक्ट की धारा 3(2)(वी) के प्रावधान को तब लागू किया जाता है जब किसी अनुसूचित जाति या जनजाति के व्यक्ति को उसकी जाति के आधार पर गंभीर चोट या मृत्यु का सामना करना पड़ता है。 एफआईआर में जोड़ी गई इस नई धारा में प्रावधान ये है कि अगर किसी अनुसूचित जाति या जनजाति के व्यक्ति के साथ उसकी जाति के कारण ऐसा अपराध किया जाए जिससे उसकी गंभीर चोट या मृत्यु हो जाए तो दोषी को आजीवन कारावास और जुर्माने की सजा हो सकती है。 पहले दर्ज की गई धाराओं में अधिकतम सजा 5 साल तक थी जबकि इस नई धारा में आजीवन कारावास का प्रावधान है।

Noida, Uttar Pradesh:Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab, in a joint operation with Barnala Police, arrests two associates of the Bambiha Gang — Sandeep Singh and Sekher — involved in illegal arms activities. Recovered a total of six pistols (including one PX5, four .32 bore pistols, and one .30 bore pistol) and 19 live cartridges from their possession. Preliminary investigation reveals that on the directions of their foreign-handlers, the accused were planning to supply these weapons to foot soldiers of the Bambiha Gang to execute sensational crimes in the state. Further investigation is underway to identify and dismantle the entire supply chain, including its backward and forward linkages.

Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab:ਸਿਹਤ ਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਭਲਾਈ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਐਸ.ਐਨ.ਆਈ.ਡੀ. ਪਲਸ ਪੋਲੀਓ ਰਾਊਂਡ ਦੀ ਰਸਮੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਫਤਹਿਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਹੈਲਥ ਸੈਂਟਰ, ਚਨਾਰਥਲ ਕਲਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਇਕ ਰਾਜ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕੀ ਪੋਲੀਓ ਦੀ ਦਵਾਈ ਨੂੰ 2 ਬੂੰਦ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਦਵਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪੋਲੀਓ ਤੋਂ ਬੱਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਕੇਸ ਵਾਈਟ ਪੋਲਿਓ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ ਕੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਏ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਾਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਲਗਦੇ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੇ ਟੈਸਟਿੰਗ ਕਰਵਾਉਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਕੀ 0 ਤੋਂ 5 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੋਲੀਓ ਦੀ ਦਵਾਈ ਜਰੂਰ ਦਿਓ ਅਸੀਂ 15 ਲੱਖ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦਵਾਈ ਪਲਾਉਣੀ ਹੈ ਅੱਜ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਮਾਪੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਉਣਗੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਘਰ ਘਰ ਜਾ ਦਵਾਈ ਪਿਲਾਉਣ ਗਿਆ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੱਚਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੇਣਾ, ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵੈਕਸੀਨ ਵੀ ਲਗਵਾਉਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ。
