A 23-year-old student from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh was allegedly killed in a brutal attack in Canada, leaving his family and community in deep shock. Gurkirat Singh Manocha, who had moved abroad to pursue higher education, died after being assaulted by a group of youths and allegedly run over with a vehicle in the city of Fort St John on March 14. He suffered critical injuries in the attack and was rushed to a hospital, where doctors later declared him dead. He had travelled to Canada to pursue a postgraduate diploma in business management at Northern Lights College
