VIP Treatment Scandal Inside Parappana Agrahara Jail! A shocking series of videos allegedly from Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Central Jail have gone viral, exposing a new level of illegal activities inside the prison. Just a day ago, videos featuring convicted rapist Umesh Reddy, Tarun Kondur, and suspected ISIS terrorist Shakeel surfaced online, showing them enjoying special privileges. Now, even more videos have emerged — showing inmates drinking alcohol and dancing inside the jail. In some clips, prisoners are seen oiling themselves and performing dance moves as if celebrating at a party. Authorities are now investigating whether the viral videos are actually from Parappana Agrahara Jail or another prison. Preliminary reports suggest that the footage may be from two to three years ago, but has resurfaced and gone viral again. Shakeel Manna was arrested by the National Investigation Agency in 2021. Once Dayanand submits the report, I will review it. If the report is not satisfactory, we will order a high-level inquiry. A special committee will be formed for the investigation. They are saying this is an old video — but whether it’s old or new, wrong is wrong. Earlier too, an old video had surfaced — the Belagavi jail video — which was later found to be old. Whatever it may be, such incidents should never happen. We will take strict action against those responsible. Actor Darshan makes court requests even for things like pillows and beds, but for these prisoners, everything seems to come easily. Former Chief Minister and MP Jagadish Shettar has strongly reacted to the allegations of VIP treatment for prisoners in jail. Shettar said, “Anything can happen under the Siddaramaiah government. Appeasement of minorities has increased. Even terrorists are allegedly being given royal treatment inside the jail, and illegal activities are taking place.” He further alleged that “some officials are also involved in these activities,” and urged the government to “wake up immediately and take strict action.”
