आरियालुर में गैस सिलिंडर लरी पलटी, भारी आग ने मचाई दहशत

In Ariyalur district, a major commotion broke out after a lorry carrying gas cylinders overturned near Varanasi village, causing the cylinders to explode and catch fire. Kanagaraj, a resident of Inam Kulathur area in Tiruchirappalli district, was transporting a full load of Indane gas cylinders from the Tiruchi godown to a dealer in Ariyalur. While taking a turn near the Pillayar temple close to Varanasi village in Ariyalur district, Tamil Nadu, the lorry lost control and toppled into a roadside ditch. Due to the impact, several gas cylinders exploded and scattered. The lorry driver, Kanagaraj, sustained severe injuries but managed to escape by jumping out of the vehicle. He was immediately taken to the Ariyalur Government Medical College Hospital in a 108 ambulance, where he is receiving treatment. Meanwhile, other cylinders in the lorry also began exploding one after another, leading to a massive blaze that completely destroyed the lorry. The series of explosions and the towering flames have caused widespread panic in the area. Under the leadership of Ariyalur Fire Officer Senthilkumar, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and are working to bring the fire under control. Vehicles traveling from Thanjavur and Tiruchi to Ariyalur are being diverted through Vikrampatti and nearby alternate routes. The incident has created a major stir across Ariyalur district. Police personnel, led by Ariyalur District Superintendent of Police Viswes Balasubramani Shastri, have made security arrangements at the site. A major disaster was averted as there were no residential houses nearby.
