Showkat Choudary Highlights Education Sector Gaps Ahead of Assembly Elections Details: In the backdrop of the upcoming assembly elections, Showkat Choudary, President School Education, addressed a press conference today stressing the urgent need to address pending issues in Jammu and Kashmir’s education sector. While acknowledging significant developments in educational infrastructure across the region, Choudary emphasized that crucial gaps remain unresolved. He urged authorities to ensure a minimum 10-year lease deed policy for school authorities to provide operational stability, alongside immediate steps for the upgradation of school infrastructure. Furthermore, he called for the full and timely implementation of the New Education Policy (NEP) in Jammu and Kashmir, which he said will modernize and streamline the system in line with national standards. Choudary underlined that elected MLAs must prioritize people’s aspirations and address education requirements within the assembly to ensure the sector keeps pace with developmental needs.
